I received a pic last night from a customer sharing these accent pillows her mother in law made with some of our fabric samples. They look great!

Our First Crafting for a Cause Project - Super Hero Capes sponsored by Craft Hope
I have been wanting some Super Hero capes in the shop so they little boys will have something special too. (although I know many girls are super heros in their own right!) I just haven't had time to make any. NOW I am going to make time!
I also have wanted to do Crafting for A Cause groups and our first one at the shop will be this one listed on Craft Hope Blog. It is Capes for Kids. We will make superhero capes to give to children in women's and children's shelters that will emphasize to them their own super strength to make it through the hard times they are in. Check out the details on the Craft Hope blog.

This project is also listed in Family Fun magazine! Read about that at the following link and how you can get your picture featured on their facebook pages.

The sponsoring program is called Enchated MAkeovers. They use their time, money and talents transforming women and children's shelters into places that are inspiring and comfortable. These women and children are already displaced and in storms so this is a great anchor for them to grab a hold of. We will probably do more projects with them as a group as time goes on.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! The capes are due in by Jan. 31st so we can get past the busy Christmas season but please keep this project in mind. We have alot of what it takes to make some capes at the store and I will start pulling out more supplies as the year closes.
